Now these ads are even more annoying January 6, 2011

You know those stupid ads they sometimes put on web pages? The ones where a person, real or animated, is dancing around to get your attention? And they slow down your computer a whole bunch?

I encountered another one this morning. The animated head was super annoying, but I am getting ahead of myself. Take a look:

The thing that really got me was the contrast between the hands and the face. Yeah, seriously. They took a black guy dancing in a suit and pasted some sort of freaky, white, honky-tonk head over his. It definitely got my attention, but not in a good way.

Haha, this pic totally made me laugh. Silliness aside, this is the first dancing ad I’ve seen that has a real human dancing (as oppose to a stick figure or an animated woman). You should totally put this on failblog.

What annoys me about these ads is that the dance sequence is too short and the looping of the short sequence really ticks me off. It’s also stupid that whatever the ads are they are really not worth dancing about.

I think the general ‘sucking up bandwidth’ is what annoys me most. 🙂

I guess if you’re dancing in a suit, why not? 🙂
